Evaluation of temperature resistance of gelatinized modified starch drilling fluid
نویسندگان
چکیده
This chapter evaluates and compares the indoor performance of different concentrations non gelatinized starch in drilling fluid, modified at 80°C, then aged high temperature. Taking plastic viscosity (PV) filtration loss (FL) as main evaluation indexes, a formula with better was selected additive used follow-up study. At same time, inhibition water-based fluid investigated.

Micromanipulative Studies on Gelatinized Starch Granules.
Gelatinized starch granules are generally considered to be comprised of sacs or outer membranes of starchy material enclosing a more or less fluid colloidal starch dispersion [see reviews by RADLEY (10)] and KERR (6). NXGEI, (9) and MEYER (8) considered the membrane to be precxistent in the native, ungelatinized granule. ALSBERG (1) and BADENHUIZEN (2, 3) on the other hand, concluded that the m...
متن کاملImproving Thermal Stability of Starch in Formate Fluids for Drilling High Temperature Shales
Starch is one of the most widely used biopolymers in water based drilling fluids to control fluid loss. The thermal stability of starch in common drilling fluids is low (93 °C). In this study, the thermal stability of starch has been evaluated in sodium/potassium formate and potassium chloride fluids. Samples of mud were prepared by formate salts (sodium and potassium) and potassium chloride wi...
متن کاملEvaluation of conditioning time and temperature on gelatinized starch and vitamin retention in a pelleted swine diet.
Two key feed processing parameters, conditioning temperature and time, were altered to determine their effects on concentration of gelatinized starch and vitamin retention in a pelleted finishing swine diet. Diet formulation (corn–soybean meal based with 30% distillers dried grains with solubles) was held constant. Treatments were arranged in a 2 × 3 factorial design plus a control with 2 condi...
متن کاملThe great potential of nanomaterials in drilling & drilling fluid applications
The continuous development of global economy with decreasing in available hydrocarbon sources and increasing discovery and extraction costs due to decrease in-situ oil and gas reservoir, displays the necessity of using new techniques for the improve rate of penetration and productivity in well. Nanotechnology has already contributed significantly to technological advances in the energy industri...
